-----------
1. What is your favorite photo in the entire paper?
I like the photo in "Senior co-hosts speak out on original stream".
1A. Why is this your favorite?
It looks the most natural looking photo that is both calmly-enjoyable-looking and related to the story. 2. What is your least favorite photo in the entire paper?
The "All-State wrestler dominates the mat" photo.
2A. Why is this your least favorite?
The only reason being is her eyes look like they're closed (the subject is actually at her opponent below her).
------------------

3. If you were a photographer on staff, which event/photo assignment would you have liked to do for this issue? You will need to look through the entire paper and see the topics covered and decide which one you think would have been fun.

The "Broken glass fuels focused fundraiser" assignment. I would've liked to take a picture of the damage (vandalism), and the fundraiser.

4. Overall, how would you rate the photography in this issue? What were the strong points and weak points?
Photos were very good at capturing expression in people's faces, and can work on taking photos of preferred expressions (some people look sad or have their eyes closed despite the topic being positive).
Fourth:

1. What is your favorite story you read?

The "Senior co-hosts speak out on original stream".

A story that sees what colleges do seniors plan on going to.

A story about Bowie's bathrooms being very, very filthy. (Opinion piece)

Merger Photo

1. Is there something you see in the photo above that you think could be a problem when you take your photos? Look carefully.

Correctly spacing where you are: if you're to close then you will overlap your previous body, if you space yourself too far (shown in the photo) then you will run out of room in your background, or get very close to the border of the photo.

2. Where do you think would be a great place to take this type of picture here on the Bowie campus?

Anywhere with good lighting, like the courtyard or the hallways.

3. Can you think of something creative to actually DO in the photo when you take yours?

I can try to reenact running.
4. Is there something you could wear that would help you when you do this photo?

Something that contrasts with the background.

High Dynamic Range Photography Prep

1. What manipulations to the camera will you need to make to create an HDR image?

  • turn on Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB) function, or if using Manual, adjust exposure (Aperture, ISO, Shutter Speed): take around 5-7 of the same photo with different exposure levels
2. What equipment will we use to take this type of image?

We'll need a tripod in order to take clear, multiple pictures of the same subject. If the camera is shaky, the images will be harder to align.

HDR photo-blending software will be needed.

3. What is the reason someone might take an HDR image?

To either have a colorful, detailed photo instead of a bland (grey) photo, or to take a scenery for a documentary, formal event, etc.

4. What can we expect to happen with the images once we merge them together, what will we see that we might not have seen with just one photo?

A photo with a lot of color and detail. Exaggerated contrast.
